God has given St.Philomena an abundance of graces that show us she is in glory in Heaven with all the martyrs who surround God’s alter in praise. Her history on Earth, as well as her history of signs, wonders and miracles, convince us of the power of her intercession. When it comes to St. Philomena, our cup overflows with grace, mercy, and the glory of God. Jesus transformed her sorrow and suffering even as she faced her greatest trials, and now she shines with glory at His side in Heaven, working with Him for our good in our own journeys and trials.
A Reading from the Book of Revelation:
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have salvation and power come,
and the authority of his Anointed.
For the accuser* of our brothers is cast out,
who accuses them before our God day and night.
They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb
by the word of their testimony;
love for life did not deter them from death.
Therefore, rejoice, you heavens,
and you who dwell in them.
The Word of the Lord
-Thanks be to God
St.Philomena, we face so many hardships and trials. But today, help us to praise God in the midst of them, to join Heaven in the constant ecstatic praise of the Lord. We know that praise of God defeats the enemy, that the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. May praise of the Blessed Trinity lift us up today, and fill us with confidence and joy. Like you may we lift up our heads, knowing our deliverance is at hand.
[Here mention your petitions and trials to St.Philomena, asking for her prayers and intercession.]
In the depths of our hearts let us hear you say to us, “He can, and He will.”
